The Documents section gets a smart search dropdown that looks across your entire library — not just the folder you happen to be in.

• ImprovedLibrary-wide search — typing in "Search documents…" used to only filter the current folder. Now a dropdown appears as you type, showing matching documents and folders from everywhere in your library.
• NewResults grouped by location — each match is shown under its folder path, so you can see the "tree" location of every result at a glance.
• NewOne click jumps you there — selecting a folder opens it; selecting a document takes you to its folder and opens it for viewing.
• NewMouse & keyboard friendly — the dropdown opens when you type or focus the box, shows a "No results" message when nothing matches, and closes when you pick something, clear the box, press Escape, or click away. Navigate with the up/down arrows and press Enter to select.

A couple of things stayed the same on purpose: the existing in-folder list and tag filters are untouched (the dropdown is an addition), and search respects the same privacy and access rules already in place (caregiver / read-only and family-member views). Search still matches on titles and descriptions — not the text inside files.

• FixedFamily plans checkout briefly ran into errors — it's now fixed and working as expected.

Our biggest release yet — a brand-new family account system, parental approval for minors, a ground-up caregiver rework, and a more flexible approach to subscriptions and billing.

Family Plans

• NewFamily account system — built the whole family account system from scratch: view your family tree, add members, and manage who sees what.
• NewInvite family members — let people invite family members to create their own linked accounts.
• NewSynced member details — members can be named, and their details (gender, date of birth) sync across accounts.
• NewChild accounts & privacy — children get full owner-level access when they create their accounts; child privacy was tightened so kids only control their own journal sharing.
• NewPer-section sharing — each person picks exactly which record sections (journals, etc.) they share, and approves before anything is visible.
• NewOwner-controlled membership — only the plan owner can add or invite new members; owner-only sections are hidden from invited members.
• NewFamily plan pricing rules — secondary members don't pay again, with extra-child overflow pricing applied across all kid-eligible tiers.
• ImprovedRemoving members — owners can remove members, with clearer confirmation wording and an "access ended" email.
• FixedRe-added members can now rejoin a plan after being removed.
• NewAccount-deleted notice — when a family member deletes their account, the owner now sees an "Account deleted" notice (with re-invite/remove buttons) and gets an email.

Minors / Parental Approval

• NewParental approval for minors — under-18 sign-ups now require a parent's approval before the child can subscribe.
• FixedFixed a gap so a declined or expired request can't sneak through to self-checkout.
• FixedUnder-18 sign-ups reliably land on the "waiting for approval" screen instead of the plan page.
• NewApproval reminders & expiry — daily reminders to parents about pending approvals, plus automatic expiry of stale requests.
• NewExpiry emails — parents get an email when a child's approval link expires.
• NewResend approval email — added "resend approval email" buttons on the waiting screen.

Caregiver System

• ImprovedMajor caregiver rework — hard patient/caregiver separation, uniform access, $4/mo per-patient billing (no separate $9 base plan), and field-level journal visibility.
• ImprovedInvite flow — flipped the invite flow so when the caregiver accepts the invitation, access is locked to the invited email.
• NewAct on a patient's behalf — caregivers can record live audio, upload documents, and add notes on a patient's behalf if the patient allows caregiver full-access.
• ImprovedCaregiver dashboard — lists patients to click into; removed the old mode to toggle between patient and caregiver.
• NewCaregiver AI chat — added caregiver AI chat with saved multi-conversation history, a translate button, and patient's mood emojis in journals.
• NewPower-of-Attorney & messaging — added support for saving Power-of-Attorney documents and per-relationship messaging.

Subscriptions & Billing

• NewAll tiers at signup — offer all subscription tiers at signup and let users switch plans.
• ImprovedPlan cleanup — removed the annual plan from the UI; restricted the 180-day beta trial to the Individual plan only.
• ImprovedSafer account deletion — account deletion now uses a two-step confirmation (type your email + "DELETE").

We've made AI Insights smarter and more efficient. Instead of regenerating every time you add a journal entry, insights now refresh on a schedule and can also be updated manually when needed — keeping them relevant while improving performance and reducing unnecessary AI usage.

• ImprovedNo more constant regenerating — AI Insights and Suggested Discussion Topics no longer rebuild every time you add a journal entry or recording, so the experience feels faster and more consistent.
• NewSync button — refresh your insights manually whenever you want the latest results. To keep things efficient, manual syncs have a 6-hour cooldown between refreshes.
• NewAutomatic twice-daily refresh — insights and discussion topics now update on their own at midnight and noon UTC whenever you've added new content.
• ImprovedConsistent, saved insights — between refreshes, insights are served from your saved results, so they stay steady and load quickly.
• ImprovedMore reliable syncing — refreshes are no longer duplicated, and any journal entries you add during a sync are now picked up in the next refresh.

• NewJournal tagging during entry creation — you can now add tags while creating a journal entry, instead of waiting until after the journal has been generated. This makes it easier to organize and categorize your entries right from the start.

• NewSign-in now powered by Auth0 — login and signup for both patients and caregivers now go through Auth0's secure hosted login, supporting email/password and "Sign in with Google," with two-factor authentication handled by Auth0.
• NewStronger account security — authentication is centralized through Auth0, with built-in protection against suspicious login activity.

• NewAgenda on your dashboard — an AI-generated, prioritized list of next steps for your care, synthesized from your recordings, journals, documents, and family history.
